suggestive rant abt christian linke's "confirmation" on Viktor aligning with asexuality (as an ace person)
Viktor being confirmed as ace only bc the co creator is against the idea of jayvik being perceived as romantic/sexual is a fucking loser moment and disheartening to ace and disabled individuals.
I bet 2 cents that christian didn't actually think Viktor would be desirable or be loved romantically as a disabled person, let alone a GAY one, so ofc homophobia isn't enough for him, he had to leap into ableism and ace stereotypes too. Its so obviously clear that he does not know one titty sprinkle about asexuality (does not give one wholehearted shit stain about it too) and it really entails.
Trying to imply being ace cancels out being gay like a math equation is mind boggling stupid, it literally doesn't work that way like u can be both, u can easily search it up on google. I swear to my mother's toe nail clippings that this motherfucker is spreading his asscheeks hard and wide to try and get people to move their appeal away from a queer ship with a healthy character dynamic between a disabled and abled bodied person that managed to not make the abled bodied character infantilize nor dehumanize the disabled character which the media really fucking needs but noooo they just so happen to be fucking GAY and that this SORE DICK PIMPLE VIRGIN christian with his no pussy hairspray and asspulling tendencies does not want a piece of that zawgalicious of a queer ship.
wow so incredible christian, ur attempt to shove ""ace representation"" without a genuine thought about the representation and being only a mere tool to u to use against people who just so happens to pair up a queer ship with the said ""ace representation"" and those characters arent even urs so whats the damn point of being so terrified of the characters being perceived as queer. wow such representation christian, wonderful 10/10 I hope u never set foot into a studio ever again and break ur damn neck while writing because what the FUCK bro. You're not only stupid but goofy as HELL to think making a character ace to make a ship less plausible, You're just a whiny little BITCH boy desperately trying to hide his incompetence with false confidence. You're a poet who's words mean nothing on what the human mind can comprehend.
Inconclusion, do not make an ass pull ace rep just for some queer ship u fucking hate for no reason other than homophobia and ur poorly disguised ableism. (and ignore anything christian linke says)
follow me if u want me to flame christian again.

This is a very sleep deprived thought—and I don't actually believe it, per se—but.
I've seen a lot of people who are deeply unsatisfied with the retcon of it being Agatha that bound Jen's magic. Mainly, because it felt like shoe-honing. Especially since Agatha made such a point about going out of her way to not kill Jen despite hating her, because she respected her work too much.
I think many interested discussions can be had about this. I've talked about this before—the fact that Jen's character felt sort of neglected in the finale, and the fact a lot of people struggled to connect with her prior to rewatches. (I myself didn't have this problem, but still, my criticisms are still of the same nature-)
Tumblr media
So anyway, Agatha probably chose to bind Jen to keep her out of the way, not realising the weight of that, the intersectionality—perhaps not caring about the suggesting very much at all. Because, you're a midwife, Jen. You can still do good. You will do good, just out of my way. And I truly do believe this is how it went.
But what if Agatha hadn't been the one to bind her? What if, in a brief moment of clarity, Agatha locked in to get everyone out? Her movements are always supposed to be calculated, so is carelessness really in her repertoire?
Tumblr media
Maybe, just maybe, she heard Jen say that, “I'll be damned if I let one of you two idiots die,” and that triggered her. Maybe because of pride—god knows she was overwhelmed before the final trial and all her walls had come right back up. But the same didn't apply to Jennifer. She had actually changed. Jen had actually re-discovered her worth. She'd remembered who she was, power or not. She was someone Agatha respected in spite of the resentment. Someome who heals, nurtures, helps, does good. Not the vain, surface-level, self-serving fraud—who had previously been on a dark path too similar to Agatha's own, so close to complete cynicism. Lilia had saved Jen from that path and oushed her to be the path ahead. The Obstacles? Agatha.
And Agatha won't accept Jen's help—not after what happened to Alice, which to Agatha's & Billy's eyes alike stands as evidence of the fact she is a monster. She won't even accept to acknowledge her own character development, as a mere episode ago she jumped in front of a sword to save Lilia. She won't, above all, acknowledge that Jen has grown to care about her. Instead, she will do everything tomake that kdea crumble. She will destroy it.
Tumblr media
All she needs to do is shape the narrative Billy truly thinks is true, and so it can become the truth. Billy, who created the condition in which it was possible for Alice to break her generational curse. Who found the spirits of Evanora and Nicky alike. All the trials were his limited understanding of the coven & of witch folk. (Jen's was right out of her vision board, she looked like one of her clients—nothing like the rootworker midwife we know she used to be. Alice's is in the seventies, which mathematically makes no sense with her age as she would have been born in the eighties to be the age she is on 2025—but Billy based everything about her trial on Lorna, because that's what he was familiar with. Agatha's mind he couldn't read—all he knew about her was that something happened to her son. So he puts a grown woman in children's clothing, to force therapy on her—and she regresses into the hurt little girl she was at the stake. Lilia, whose mind is the loudest & most easily accessible to Billy, had the most personalised trial, but even then, it latches onto the witch stereotypes that she so desperately hates. All of those do help the girls—minus Agatha—but still don't fully represent them. As for the green witch trial, well, it took him a while to cook it up, because he just found out Rio is death. Anyway, I digress—) My point being, if you can shape Billy's understanding of a situation, you can have some power over what happens. (One trial for each witch, the public transport system, etc.)
Tumblr media
Would it be such an impossible stretch to say Agatha painted herself as the villain once more, embracing the part presented to her, the oart most familiar, the oart she knows best to simultaneously reject Jen's offered sisterhood/peace/altruism AND make sure the road gave Jen her powers back? She gets Jen out of the way—go do good again, just out of my way—because she's hellbent on the narrative that Agatha Harkness can't be anything but a covenless witch.
And what's the next thing she does, after assuring Billy that the road took Jen to safety after giving her what she wants?
She tries to get what she wants, because she knows Billy is in no real danger in his own road. Give me a little power-boost, dungeon master, get me out of here, come on. But he doesn't trust her. And if he doesn't trust her—she can't possibly convince him to willingly hand himself over to Rio.
So she gives him what he needs, what he wants from the road. She guides him—cradles his head and helps him fight the guilt, she helps him save Tommy. The second abomination that Lady Death was trying to prevent has already been re-born, but Rio's too busy playing mother-knows-best in suburbia on Agatha's rooftop.
So Agatha gets Billy out, accepts that, “sometimes boys die,” that death herself can't be blamed for Nicky—she forgives Rio—and starts to mourn herself. She's gotten Jen & Billy out. She can stay here and die the villain. But the road presents her with the opportunity to live—from death, life—(she also realises right then that Nicky was also Rio's, btw)—and she makes her dramatic exit. The rest is... A different post.

I’ve just started Mo Dao Zu Shi (MDZS), and it is HILARIOUS. Wei Wuxian is a sarcastic diva. He’s out here living his best chaotic life, enjoying every minute in the body of someone already labeled as a “lunatic”. Like he literally admits to liking the fact that he can finally act the way he wanted without toning down his personality. I’m only on Chapter 3, but I’ve already taken so many screenshots of scenes that made me laugh.
This one is my favourite so far:
Tumblr media
When I tell you I HOLLERED 😭😭😭 This man has been falsely accused of MURDERING HIS COUSIN. His aunt wants him dead, and yet what’s he worried about? His nonexistent love life. I approve of his priorities; go get some dick Mr. Xuanyu.
What makes this even funnier is how Wei Wuxian just completely flips the script on those who abused him. Just for being gay, he was labeled a “deviant” by those around him, ostracized, and ridiculed. Now, he’s fully embracing that stereotype of him being "a sexual predator" and using it as a weapon. “Oh, I’m the shameless one? Let’s talk about how you went into my bedroom at night, knowing that I'm a crazy gay person that harasses men.” Sir, the pettiness is unparalleled.
This moment is pure gold because it captures how Wei Wuxian thrives is already leaning into his role as the “lunatic” with zero shame, and honestly, I love that for him. He’s not just finally being himself and enjoying it; he’s out here making everyone else regret ever crossing him. King behavior.
Another scene I like is this:
Tumblr media
Okay, first of all, Jin Ling, relax. Why are you out here throwing casual homophobia around like confetti? Not only that, but he's trying SO HARD to act tough and superior while he's the one pinned to the damn ground. Jin Ling also uses the "I'm going to tell on you" threat and expects us to take him seriously. Sir, sit down (oh wait, he's already sat 🤭).
Wei Wuxian doesn’t even dignify this insult with a serious response. Instead, he clutches his chest like the dramatic little twink he is and hits Jin Ling with the most insincere reaction possible.
What makes this scene so funny is how Wei Wuxian effortlessly dismantles Jin Ling’s bravado. This kid is trying so hard to act threatening, but Wei’s over-the-top sarcasm completely undercuts him. It’s like he’s saying, “Oh no, not the scary homophobic teenager! Whatever shall I do?!” And the clutching-his-heart move? That’s just the cherry on top. Like, Jin Ling honey, at least try to be clever with your insults.
In summary, I already love Wei Wuxian. They could NEVER make me hate him. I can’t wait to see how much more chaos he causes as the story progresses.

It’s possible Andreaphalus has sexually abused Stella. He didn’t do it because he’s attracted to her but purely because it made him feel powerful to humiliate his sister and have control over her body. Since Stella is now back in his hands, Andreaphalus can go right back to making sexual remarks at her expense.
However, this is unlikely since Helluva Boss is a Vivziepop show after all. She more than likely just thinks it’s funny and nothing more.
Chief...if this is true....Viv just made this a VERY harmful stereotype that has existed against gay people for years, like jesus christ [No hate to you just, damn this is pretty bad if she did make it this way]
Like I'm not tripping, right? This is a VERY bad stereotype that has existed for super long😬
But the latter is probably true, but either way, YIIIKES...

Omg low key have always thought the same thing. You hate to reduce her to such a low value but damn LOOK! She is practically a trophy wife. She looks good and that’s about all there is to their relationship. I was talking with someone who doesn’t ship either IH or IR and they said the same exact thing. Like look at all the macho main characters in shounen and then look at the women they end up with. Kubo could have written a story that broke that stereotype and set a bar for a whole new type of shounen relationship but instead he decided to rush the ending and pair Ichigo with stereotypical “hottest” thing closest to him. I don’t believe Kubo is a self insert writer but that’s definitely what it was giving in the moment if you ask me!
I love how Tumblr isn’t brain dead and doesn’t meat munch the fact that IH genuinely sucks so bad to the point of delusion because they like the canon ship so much. This is the safe place I’ve been looking for, for years. Reddit, TikTok, IG could never!!

NGL I have STRONG opinions about digital releases omitting the letters to the editor section of older comics. I feel like the letters are a part of comic history and should be aggressively preserved.

ok so realistically i know theres important character reasons Kendra (and Seth and Warren by extension) never suspect Gavarog. It’s the old society trick to set up threats as team bonding exercises, etc, etc. plus this is a new and unfamiliar world thats rapidly overtaking her real world and replacing all her existing relationships, and right now Gavarog’s like the only member of her magical-worl peer group, so she doesnt want him to be a traitor, just like she didnt want Vanessa, her only female mentor to be a traitor, etc , etc.
but also i wholeheartedly 100% believe that every time Gavin did some truly bizarre, weird ass shit Kendra was just like. damnnnn…. average home school kid behavior.

Rumors are going around on twitter and weibo that starember might have left the tgcf manhua team omg.. they're unfounded right now but can we get a prayer circle going for hoping that it's true!! 🙏🙏🙏I'm so tired of their consistent racism and orientalism being passed around in the manhua space, people have been raising the alarm on it for literal years now

I'm gonna be honest I've been mulling over the cut dialogue post for the entire day because what I want to know is the direction of the developers.
Part of me isn't sure whether if the cut dialogue was cut content for the sake of cut content (i.e. time/budget limitations, it was too much/unnecessary for the scene, etc) or whether it was a change in tweaking Volo's canon character. (i.e. making his villainy closer/a foil of Cyrus.) (for the most I'm still not sure if the cut dialogue is considered "canon" or not, but for the most part until we see official content that contradicts it I will consider it as "canon" Volo.)
Because I don't know about you, but it's really telling something about his character.
I'm a descendant of the ancient Sinnoh people! I revere Arceus, the almighty god, and I will demonstrate his power to all living things in the sky, the earth, the sea! Yes! As the avatar of Arceus, I will house that power and bring its gospel to Hisui! I won't let you, an outsider with no history here, get in my way!
Okay so, this passage is the part I want to delve into. A couple of points:
"Avatar of Arceus" - this pretty much explains the Arceus cosplay in the final battle. I mean it was assumed already if you know how iconography and symbolism works, but it pretty much plainly explains that Volo sees himself as a god or in the very least, as a standing representation of Arceus itself in the physical world.
"I will house that power" - again this is just a rewording of what already exists in the final scene, where Volo states he wants to "use Arceus' power to create a new better world". Note he doesn't say he will defeat Arceus, or kill it. I know it's common interpretation in fan circles that Volo kills/takes Arceus power, but it's important for us to remember that canonically, Volo DOES NOT want to kill Arceus. His reverence may be strong, and he does have this weird religious ecstasy brainrot, but he does not wish to actually kill it. Volo is a religious zealot.
And the parts that are bothering me the most are these lines:
"I will demonstrate his power to all living things in the sky, the earth, the sea! / ...bring its gospel to Hisui!" - this part is what I'm ruminating on the most. Because with this passage, it's making me rethink all of my previous interpretations on Volo, and I fear we may have been misinterpreting him this entire time.
This is again where I want to emphasize I don't know for sure if this is a character rework or cut content, because here Volo makes no mention of a "better world" by using the power of Arceus.
Because yknow what that sounds like right? Like Christian/Catholic preaching. Specifically the word "gospel" is used here, and he makes mention of "demonstrating his power to all living things". Like spreading the word of God? He makes no mention of this gospel of Arceus being love or light however, which makes me worried what this implies...
And this is what's bothering the most about this. Volo from this dialogue, may not be a saviour wishing to create a better world without suffering because his God designed a flawed world that included those things.
Volo is a religious zealot that believes the world is flawed because of other people, not because his God made a flawed creation. And that the cure to removing this suffering is recreating his own biblical flood and killing everyone and spreading the word of Jesus Arceus.
That's why Volo has a hard time trusting others in Pokemas because other people are sinful/backstabbing and cannot be trusted (albeit heavily influenced by whatever Traumatic Thing™ happened in his villain backstory that as of writing this, has yet to be revealed) but if this is canon to his character, it's a HUGE difference from what we were all interpreting. He's not staging a divine coup for the people, he's your Catholic pastor that believes if you don't believe in god you're going to hell. He's the holy crusader that is willing to hurt entire groups of people in the name of god, believing this harm he's doing is "righteous" because he's doing it for Arceus.
If this is what Volo's idea of a "better world" was like the entire time, damn I really hope he loses and gets a redemption. A world where everyone follows the gospel of God through force? Maybe there's a reason he's a villain.
